Real, rooted photography for creative and nature led businesses and projects.
Photography instantly connects people to a message. I bring three decades of editorial and commercial experience to bring grounded, honest documentary style photography to your project that will connect the right people and communication what you are about in an instant.
What I do.
In a world where no-one knows what’s real, I bring the most honest, real photography which comes from my love of creativity, respect for the planet and recognition of social projects. I work with creatives and artisans to create very human personal and business brand photography and also across outdoor and environmental lifestyle projects. Also, coming very soon is a range of Derbyshire and Peak District imagery to license.
I’m Emma.
I’ve worked in the editorial and commercial world for over three decades. I started as a picture editor on a range of magazine titles before I learned photography myself and set up my own business in 2010. I have worked for brands such as Soho House, Harrods and Hotels.com but when I moved to the Derbyshire Dales I found myself deeply drawn to a slower pace of life. I realised I could use all of my skills to help meaningful businesses and projects be seen in the most grounded and real way.
I’ve always been creative and deeply connected to nature, caring about the planet and people. Hours spent with my Grandad who was a keen twitcher, gardener and wildlife preservation activist means this work runs through my veins. I’ve studied naturopathic nutrition, nature connection and herbalism but I’m happiest with a camera in my hand, capturing the people and the projects making an impact.
When I’m not doing the above and all that comes with running a small business, you can find me walking my rescue dog Ollie in the Derbyshire Dales, travelling in my self con vested camper van, standing up for what I believe in, or at home - gardening, making tea blends from botanicals I’ve grown and working on my personal projects. My home and lifestyle blog is here.
