Brand shoot: Jane Littlefield - Peak District Stained Glass Artist.

Artist: Jane Littlefield
Craft: Stained Glass
Three words: creativity | process | technique

Some crafts don't shout for attention and stained glass is one of them. It's slow, exacting work that takes years to learn properly and the number of people who can still do it well is shrinking fast. Fewer apprenticeships, fewer makers, less demand for something this patient in a world that mostly isn't. So when the chance came up to photograph Jane Littlefield in her Peak District studio, through a bursary from Derbyshire Makes and Arts Derbyshire, it felt like more than just a shoot and more like making a record of something important.

Jane gave me three words before we started: creativity, process, technique. Easy to say but in practice, taking thought to capture - not just the finished glass catching the light but the inbetween moments: the cutting, the soldering, the small decisions that only come from years of doing this. It was an honour to capture Jane at her craft.

Here's a selection of images from our shoot together, I hope you enjoy them.
