Unique Stay: Titch Hill Farm, Sussex.

Set deep in the South’s Downland is a small collection of barns with a subtle exterior homestead. Coming off the the A23 near Shoreham (not far from Brighton), you weave down a small lane, unaware that a thriving vineyard and dense woodland can be found behind the hedges. Pulling into the gravel car park you get a glimpse of views across Sompting that hols a network of popular footpaths and walking routes, including part of the South Downs Way.

But it’s when you enter the front door of Titch Hill House that you start to feel the magic of the stay. Lovingly renovated by warm owners Alex and Caroline, the house is visually calming and unpretentious. There are luxury features without it feeling unwelcoming or intimidating.

I have no doubt this new bed and breakfast, which is soon to be joined by glamping, is going to be a roaring success, providing a calm retreat to the Sussex coastline.
